U16 AA, 2024 - 2025, Rep (Whitchurch Stouffville Minor Hockey Association)

On Friday March 21/25 The U16AA Clippers travelled to Collingwood for what would be there final game of the 2024/25 season.  Before the game both teams would stand side by side on both bluelines and goal creases for a moment of silence in honor of Nolan Ion # 86 of The Upper York Admirals U16A hockey team, who tragically passed away this week , two days before his 16th birthday. RIP Nolan your memory will live on forever in the hockey community!!!!!

On Sunday March 16/25 The Clippers were on the road to Markham to faceoff against The Waxers in game # 2 of The Presidents Cup playoff series. The Waxers would score first, but the Clippers would answer back with two tallies to take a 2-1 lead. The Waxers would answer with two more in the first frame to exit the first period up 3-2. Markham would add another goal in the second period, to lead 4-2 going into the flood. The Third was a disaster with the Clippers playing almost the whole third period shorthanded and as a result Markham would score six unanswered goals to seal the 9-2 ...

On Wednesday March 12/25 The Clippers travelled to Richmond Hill to face The Jaguars in game one of their Presidents Cup round robin series. The Clippers would fall behind 1-0 within the first 15 seconds of the game, but would tie it up and finish the first frame tied at 1-1. The Jags would score first in the second period but again the Clippers would tie it at two a piece going into the second intermission. The third would mirror the first two frames as The Jags would score first and The Boatmen would answer back, but Richmond Hill would add another and take away a 4-3 victory. Next up ...

On Saturday March8/25 the U16 AA Clippers travelled to East Gwillimbury to face off with The Upper York Admirals in their final York Simcoe qualifier game. This one was all Admirals as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead. The Clippers would get a lucky bounce near the end of the second frame when The Admirals would score on themselves, on a goal credited to Jackson Kerswill#7. The Admirals would add two more tallies and secure their birth into the semi finals with a 5-1 win. Next up The Clippers will take part in the relegation round known as The Presidents Cup. GOOD LUCK CLIPPERS!!!!!!!!!!

On Wednesday March 5/25 The Clippers were on the road to Markham to face The Waxers. The first frame would be a scoreless, defensive battle, but in the second period Markham would tally twice to take a 2-0 lead going into the flood. The Clippers would narrow the lead to one at 12:59 of the third frame, but that wouldn't last long as Markham would score about a minute and 20 seconds later to regain a two goal lead.
