Richmond Hill, Markham and Mom's night!
Hello everyone,
Well it's been a whirl wind of excitement over the past couple weeks. The team went to the Silver Stick Tournament in Sutton. It was fun and exiting for the kids and the drives up there were GREAT!!
The kids then played Richmond Hill and again, what a drive. Isn't the snow great! But, the game was terrific. With the kids all working hard and chasing the puck. With Cole chasing them down and diving and knocking the puck off of the other players sticks. Great hustling Cole!!
Then came Markham, the kids were ready. Last time the team played them it ended in a tie. So they were excited to have another shot at beating them. The kids came out hustling and kept their feet moving. The puck was kept in Markham's end most of the time. With the forwards passing to each other and taking shots on the net. While the defense was holding that blue line and digging into the boards when Markham was trying to get it out. Again, Cole and Francesco had amazing games! Francesco laying on the ice, but still trying to pass the puck out to his team mates. Cole was chasing them down the ice and stopping the other team from getting any good shots on Luca. Fam with an assist by Malcolm got the first goal in the first period. The kids held the lead until the third period, when Markham finally scored. Ending in a tie, again. The team almost beat them, you'll get them next time!
Thanks to Cori for planning another great night, this time the AE Novice Clipper family had dinner and drinks, but it was Moms only and it was terrific!!! A lot of tired Moms at the arena the next day, but it was great getting together, spending time just the women and worth the very slow next day....Haha!
