Novice "AE", 2015-2016, Rep (Whitchurch Stouffville Minor Hockey Association)

In September 2015, I watched the Novice AE Clippers play their first exhibition game against Markham. We lost 11-2, the kids had fun but I thought to myself this is going to be a long season and we will probably have a few more losses than wins. We as parents were prepared for that as we knew only a handful of players on the team had any rep experience. Over the season the kids learned to skate, play their positions and pass the puck. Comparing the video from September 2015 to March 2016 you would think that you were looking at  a completely different team. 

After a long season of battling hard the Novice AE Clippers Team is now off to the York Simcoe Finals. In the Quarter finals it came down to a home and home series against top ranked Orillia. Your Novice AE Clippers came out on top and moved on to the next round. In the semi-finals the Novice AE Clippers faced and even tougher opponent in higher ranked Markham. Game one tie 2-2, Game two 4-2 Loss. Then out of nowhere the Novice AE Clippers roared back with 3 strait wins and put the icing on the cake with a decisive 6-2 victory over Markham in the 5th game of the series. Clippers won the ...
