The Clippers faced Schomberg at the Clipper Complex on Sunday, November 10th. Schomberg, while short benched, had a lot of speed and panache. Ethan maintained the blank on the scoreboard through most of the game, and made some excellent saves, including holding off on 4 penalties.
The Red Wings finally struck on a bullet over the shoulder, putting up the first point of the game a 8:11 of the third.
The Red Wings goaltending was very strong throughout the game, and was seemingly up to the extra pressure the Clippers put up. Finally, Charlie made it through the Red Wing defense, and tied up the game at 2:30 on the clock in the third.
With even play throughout the game, things looked tense when the Clippers took another penalty to close out the game, but the tie held at 1-1.
Clippers have a busy week ahead, traveling to Barrie on Wednesday, then hosting Richmond Hill Thursday evening.
The standings show a lot of close teams, and the Clippers will have to work hard to take some wins against some of the toughest teams in the next few weeks ahead.
