The Atom AE Clippers completed the series against Markham on a high note - dominating play in Game 4 at Milliken Mills, running up a 5-1 lead into the final count down of the third. The Waxers put up a last minute threat with a PP goal in the final 3 minutes, followed quickly by another, but it was too little too late to make up for the Clippers' strong play through the preceding 42 minutes of fast action.
David put up a "hatty", opening & closing the scoring for the Clippers. Nicely done!
So what's next for the Clippers, as families eagerly look forward to some time off at March break?
The next round is yet another round robin play, this time facing Newmarket and rivals Richmond Hill, in a 2 game face-off against each team and one team advancing. It promises to be a tough placement, and the only insurance the Clippers will have will be if they accomplish a sweep and go 4 for 4. These are two great competitor teams, and the Clippers will have to play at their peak for 4 straight.
Here's the latest view on the calendar - but stay tuned - things can change.
GOOD LUCK CLIPPERS in this next round robin on the path to the York Simcoe Finals.
