Clippers Take 2 in Third Season Match Up with Redmen
The Clippers finally took some points against rival Redmen in a mid week match at Magna.

The sticks were hot from the first drop, with Jesse putting in the first goal at 9:08.  David moved quickly to take a short-handed goal less than a minute later making it 2-0 early in the game.

Newmarket was not going to let the Clippers roll over them, however, and marked their own goal around 4:28, closing the first with a Clipper lead of 2-1, which Newmarket tied up at 6:34 of the second.

Dylan put up the third and winning goal at with 1:17 remaining in the second.  With the Redmen back on the power play for the third time, the Clippers had their work cut out for them, protecting a narrow lead against a determined opponent.  Nicely killed off, Mick resumed scoring by opening the third period with another goal for the boys in Black.... and speaking of Black.... Jesse put up the final goal to book-end the night with the opener and closer, scored at 7:54 of the third. Way to go 55!!!

Newmarket was clearly frustrated by the end of this game, and ramped up PIMs through the final period.  Our netminder, Adrian, kept us in play throughout the game, and while short benched, the Clippers played a solid game to take a well deserved 2 points home. Final tally:  5- 2 for the Clippers.

Lots more hockey is coming up for the Clippers - back to back on the Dec 7/8 weekend, the Clippers have big games against big competition - Georgina at home Saturday, and then Tottenham on the road Sunday.

Come out to cheer on the Clippers at CC1, and please, try not to run over SANTA!!!!

PLEASE NOTE Access to Clipper Complex will be through the No Frills and Fire Hall parking lots during the Santa Claus Parade as Weldon Drive will be closed.
