Boyd's Super Sport Players of the Games
For the full story from Coach Rocky of Jack and Luke's Stellar games read on....

Our player of the game is Jack Blurton. It was Jack’sturn to play in goal and he was very excited. As is our custom, we were notprepared to play at the opening face-off and we fell behind early, allowing  twogoals against in the first shift of the game. Jack had no chance on eithergoal. The next shift was a little better however the Rangers continued to getgood scoring chances and had it not been for Jack it could have easily been 4or 5 to nothing. Jack’s teammates finally started skating and providedhim with support clearing the puck out of our zone with more regularity. We finallyscored a goal midway through the first period and added another goal near theend of the period, all the while with Jack making save after save to keep histeam in the game. Had it not been for Jack this game would not be tied at 2going into the final period. Jack’s teammates elevated their game for thefinal period. It was a  much less busy period for Jack allowing only 1goal while his teammates scored 4 goals to give us a 6-3 win.  Jack wasthe key to this win with his many saves in the first period.      Congratulations and great work Jack!

Our player of the game is Luke Blommesteyn. Luke has shown steadyimprovement in his game since the beginning of the season. This particular game  we were playing against a team from East Gwillimbury and we had no idea of what to expect. Luke and his teammates (as well as the parents and coaches) were very excited and we tried to approach the game like any other.  We actually  got off to a good start (for a change) and scored our first goal in the first shift. This was due to the hustle Luke and his teammates used to pressure the  opposition to gain control of the play. Luke in particular seemed to feed offof his teammates and gained confidence with every shift. He skating after thepuck with vigor and was constantly in the middle of the play. Luke’sconstant forechecking was the key in helping his teammates to score as many goalsas we did. The final score was 11 – 1 but this would not have beenpossible without Luke’s energy and persistence.

Congratulations and great work Luke!
