After losing their first ever playoff game at home on Thursday night, the Clippers travelled to Unionville for game 2 to try to get back into the series. In Game 1, the Clippers could not find their legs in the first 5 minutes of the first period and found themselves down 3 goals early. The Clippers could not find enough offence to get back in the game however they battled and played the Jets even over the last 25 minutes.

Game 2 would be a different story Sat afternoon at Angus Glen.... Read More

The Clippers travelled to Richmond Hill on Sunday afternoon to battle the top ranked Richmond Hill Stars. The previous two games vs the Stars saw our team pressed from start to finish losing a combined 24-0. RH is the cream of the crop in the division and have some great talent and we knew this game would be very difficult.

The coaching staff felt that we would have a better chance to defend by putting our big presence kids on defence to try and hold out the Stars attack. Big John and Hayden were moved to D and they proved to be a force back defending the net. Read More

After travelling to Markham for another exhibition game which saw the Clippers score 2 goals (Highest output this season) from sniper Mason Whitham, the Clippers were ready to try and breakdown the pesky Eagles from EG. In game 1 on Thursday night, the Eagles came out flying and pressured the Clippers from the get go. The Clippers could not keep up in the first period and found themselves behind by 4 goals heading into the second period (Remember Clippers, always move your feet when battling for that puck.) In the second and third periods, our compete level was much higher and we were able to move the puck out of our zone and relieve some of the pressure from EG. The Clippers were proud of their effort despite losing 10-0. (Keep your heads high Clippers, you are doing great!!) Read More

Another home game in Stouffville Friday night saw the pesky Tyke B Clippers host the cross town rival Aurora Tigers. With recent losses to excellent Barrie and Richmond Hill teams, the Clippers were looking forward to another tough game! The Tigers came our roaring with 2 quick goals in the first 5 mins of the period. With doubt starting to set in again, an exciting moment happened in our young season when big John fought off two Tiger players and carried the puck from our own end into the offensive zone where he buried a low blazing shot past the Aurora goalie to score the Clippers first goal of the regular season!!! (Good things happen when you don't give up Clippers!!!)     Read More

It was the big anticipated home opener for the Tyke B squad this evening vs the Cobourg Cougars! All of the kids and the coaching staff were excited to play in front of a packed house of friends and family. The coach was pleased with the latest practice leading up to this game as the players worked really hard on their skating and puck control. We were determined to give the opponents all they could handle tonight.

The Tyke B team was on the road yesterday, down in Milliken to face a very good Markham Waxer team.  Carlo knows our Tyke B's are all just getting started with the rep hockey scene, and for some of the teams we are facing, we have some catching up to do.

"It comes with experience, and more ice time," says Carlo.  "The kids are doing great, and you can see them making smarter plays with each game we're playing. Some of our back-checking today was awesome!!!" Read More
