Tigers Roar Over Clippers
Another home game in Stouffville Friday night saw the pesky Tyke B Clippers host the cross town rival Aurora Tigers. With recent losses to excellent Barrie and Richmond Hill teams, the Clippers were looking forward to another tough game! The Tigers came our roaring with 2 quick goals in the first 5 mins of the period. With doubt starting to set in again, an exciting moment happened in our young season when big John fought off two Tiger players and carried the puck from our own end into the offensive zone where he buried a low blazing shot past the Aurora goalie to score the Clippers first goal of the regular season!!! (Good things happen when you don't give up Clippers!!!)

Going into the second period, the Clippers were in a tight battle only down 2-1. Unfortunately, the bounces did not go our way this evening as the Tigers started to pressure our defensive zone. With 4 goals in 5 minutes, the game was quickly out of hand. The Clippers knew that we were down but they never hung their heads in the thought of defeat. Instead, they fought hard throughout the game and continued to move the puck forward and had several good chances to score. The coaching staff has seen gradual improvement from game to game. We are proud of the team thus far and we encourage them to keep working hard as there is lots of hockey left to play!!

After the game, the Clippers had a very special visitor from the North Pole! Santa was scheduled to visit the ACC Friday eve to bring gifts to the Toronto Maple Leafs however with the Maple Leafs and the NHL on the naughty list this year, he decided to come visit us as he knew we were a little down from all of our losses so far. Santa brought joy and happiness to the dressing room after the game and he also brought gifts (New Clipper practice jerseys for all) Wear them proud Clippers!! You deserve them for all of your hard work this season!

We travel to Markham to revenge our 4-0 loss to the Waxers Sunday morning.

MVP Belt went to Sara for her excellent defensive play and aggression!! Well done Sara!
