Mad Hatty Matty Drives Clipper Win
Back into regular season play, the Clippers were due at the net, apparently none more than Marty, who astounded all with a double hat-trick performance. Matty opened and closed the game sheet on the scoreboard, starting at 4:36 of the first, and ending at 4:23 of the third.
The in between was filled with 8 additional goals, including goals from Charlie, Matthew, Nick and Owen. Too many assists to list, but suffice to say the team earned 19 total player points, another shut out (this time to Adrian), and most importantly 2 pts for the win in the York Simcoe league play.
The coaches were pleased with the team play, and happy to see the season starting off on a high. The boys will have to stay sharp to face tougher competition as the season goes on.
The Clippers will face Barrie on Sunday with our first away game for 2015. Barrie has such a draw, this year they have 2 PWAE teams, and they always prove to be a talented centre.
